Dr McEwan grew up on the Sunshine Coast before moving to Brisbane to complete her Science degree. She also spent time in Montreal, Canada for her studies. She moved to Sydney for her medical degree at the University of Sydney and, having an interest in rural health, spent a year in Orange as part of her degree. She also spent time working as a student in the paediatrics department of KCMC, a hospital on the base of mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. On completion of her MBBS she moved to Tweed Heads with her husband, Nelson. Dr McEwan has extensive experience, having worked at Tweed Hospital for two years before finding her calling as a GP in the Northern NSW area. During her training as a GP registrar she worked in Murwillumbah and then joined Kingscliff Health in 2017 before qualifying as a GP in 2018 and has since qualified as a medical educator. Dr McEwan has recently returned from maternity leave after welcoming her son into her family. Dr McEwan strives to manage your health in a comprehensive but friendly patient-centred manner.
