COSMETIC INJECTABLES

Kingscliff Health now offers GP performed anti-wrinkle injections.

Over time, changes to the underlying structure of the skin results in folds and wrinkles that alter the appearance the face. Anti-wrinkle injections relax the muscles in the frown area and outer corners of the eyes, so the skin looks smoother and less wrinkled, whilst allowing untreated areas to move as normal. You will still be able to laugh, smile and frown, just with less wrinkling of the skin in the treated areas.

FAQs

How long will it take to see results?

Anti-wrinkle injections can result in improvements as early as 24 hours after treatment, however generally take around 2 to 3 days. If you decide not to continue with anti-wrinkle injections, your muscle activity will gradually return and your wrinkles will slowly reappear, but will not be worse than your pre-treatment state. Effects of anti-wrinkle injections may last up to 4 months. Results will vary from person to person.

Are there any side-effects?

As with any cosmetic medical treatment, side effects can occur. These can include headaches, pain, bruising, swelling, itchiness, a feeling of pins and needles at the injection site, muscle weakness such as drooping eyelids or eyebrows, and swelling of the eyelids. If you experience any of these unwanted side effects, consult your practitioner.
