COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic

COVID-19 VACCINE CLINIC

Kingscliff Health is pleased to advise that we are an approved COVID-19 vaccine provider.

Vaccinations are voluntary and free.

All members of the community currently eligible for vaccination are welcome – you do not need to be a patient of Kingscliff Health to receive a vaccination from us.

In line with the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) advice, the Australian Government is prioritising the Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer) for people 59 years and under and COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca for people aged 60 years and over.

We are currently vaccinating:

  • People aged 60 years and over with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
  • People aged 40-59 years with the Pfizer vaccine.

People aged 16-39 years will be eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine from August 30.

Children aged 12-15 years will be eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine from September 13.

People aged 18-39 years can choose to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine now, following an appropriate suitability assessment and consent process. A suitability assessment involves a consultation with one of our GPs for discussion of the risks and benefits.

If you are aged 59 years and under, have already had your first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine, and did not experience an adverse reaction, ATAGI recommends you still receive your second AstraZeneca dose. This will provide you with greater coverage against severe illness from COVID-19. On the basis of currently available information, Pfizer vaccine and AstraZeneca vaccine are not considered interchangeable.
