COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic

COVID-19 VACCINE CLINIC

Kingscliff Health is pleased to advise that we are an approved COVID-19 vaccine provider.

Vaccinations are voluntary and free.

All members of the community currently eligible for vaccination are welcome – you do not need to be a patient of Kingscliff Health to receive a vaccination from us.

We are currently vaccinating people aged 12-17 years with the Pfizer vaccine and people aged 18 and over with both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.

If you have already had your first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine, and did not experience an adverse reaction, ATAGI recommends you still receive your second AstraZeneca dose. This will provide you with greater coverage against severe illness from COVID-19.

We are currently administering third primary doses of COVID-19 vaccines in individuals who are severely immunocompromised. An mRNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) is preferred to AstraZeneca for a third primary dose in severely immunocompromised people.

We are also currently administering booster doses in people aged 18 years and older, who are at least 6 months after the completion of their COVID-19 vaccine primary course. Comirnaty (Pfizer) is recommended as a single booster dose, irrespective of the primary COVID-19 vaccine used. AstraZeneca is not preferred, but may be used if an individual has experienced a significant adverse reaction after a previous mRNA vaccine which contraindicates further mRNA doses (e.g. anaphylaxis or myocarditis).
